  • 1. What do I have to pay for a cooperation?

Nothing! The cooperations, we offer on this site are free of charge for you.

The basic idea of our cooperations is to find an easy access to create good photos together. So we either cooperate to earn money together - so you don`t pay, you earn! Or we cooperate on base of Time for Prints (TfP) and you get the results of the photoshooting on CD or for download and we get the right to use them for our projects. So yo don`t pay for being photographed.

    So who pays?

    • If we sell our photos together, the customers who buy them pay for it (details see at the chosen project).
    • If you get a web-shop, we normally find sponsors who can place some advertisement on the site so this covers the cost for running the webspace.
    • If we create a calendar/ book/ postcards/ ebook, you don`t pay for it - even if it promotes you as a model. Either there are customers who buy the product and pay or it is advertising and covered by marketing budget.

    But...

All photodesigners of ritarra.network are freelancers. So if you want your personal photos, just for yourself, this is a normal job and no ritarra.network cooperation. We will tell you what it costs before and then you decide.
If we book an expensive location for photos with a commercial background and you will earn money with the photos, we will also talk about a share of the location cost. But tis will also be communicated clearly before and then you decide.

  • 2. How can I trust the photographer?

Trust is something that builds up step by step

Before a photo shooting, you will have some online communication and there always is the option to have a phonecall or skype/viber voice-call before you decide for the next steps.

Then you can have a meeting in a public place - if you feel more safe, you can also bring a friend. So if anything scary should happen, you can just stand up and leave.

Then there is always the chance to have a test-photosession before you start a cooperation.

During a shooting the photographer is your support. You decide what you want and he or she makes suggestions. You always decide if you want to try a pose or outfit or if you don't want.

And finally it is all digital photos. If you feel like you did something, that was wrong, you can delete the photos directly on the camera and nobody will ever see them.

Trust needs to be built up from both sides

Also a photographer needs to trust you that you show up to the appointment, that you take care of the equipment and don't steal anything. So he also is happy about a step-by-step building up trust.

  • 3. Is there a contract?

    There is no general contact!

ritarra.network is not a company who tries to sell you a product. We don't have a contract, you just have to sign. We all are freelancers and create contracts for our projects each time. In a cooperation you are part of your project team so you will also be part of the contracts of this team. That's what we mean by "cooperation": It is on same eye level and if something for your is important to write down and sign as a contract, then we talk about it before and find a solution that fits to all participants of the project.

    As a model

    1. You normally sign a model relase (Details see english or russian wikipedia) so we can handle and publish the photos in your name. Here are examples from the company "getty images" that we sometimes use.
    2. And depending on the project we write down the basics: Who does what with the photos? Will here be a book? A calendar? A web shop? And who gets how many % of the income?

  • 4. Can I bring a person whom I trust to the photo session?

    Yes, that is absolutely possible.

Best option is a friend who likes your steps to photo-modeling and supports you. We should talk before the shooting/ meeting if you bring somebody with you.

    But...

We have had some bad experience with older brothers and boy-friends/husbands. They sometimes tend to a protective behavior or are just jealous. And sometimes models "forgot" to tell them what kind of photos they decided to do and then it was a problem when they wanted to take on the bikini and the brother or husband meant it good, when he tried to protect the "poor girl" from the photographer.

You are 100% responsible for the person who comes with you to a meeting. You need to give him or her a clear briefing what you plan to do. If there is any misunderstanding and any situation some third party causes distress to the photographer, we will immediately quit the photo session and the cooperation.

  • 5. What does TfP mean?

TfP = Time for Prints or Time for Pictures

Some projects are to earn money, others are to earn your photos. The basic idea is that a model and a photographer cooperate and both can use the pictures but no money is exchanged.  Details see here in English or читать на русском here.

Depending on the project the model can select 10-15 photos she likes most from a preview. The photo-designer works over those photos with Photoshop and she gets the result for her model portfolio on CD or via download. She may use and also publish the photos in online model-portfolios with no cost. But the model is not allowed to sell those pictures.
